Ladies’ Shooting League

Attention TCGC women!

Did you know that TCGC offers Ladies Only Classes? Come join other women to learn about shooting!

In our 4th year, the ladies meet the on the first and second Thursdays of the month in the Action Range, bays 3 and 4.
The first Thursday is skill building; grip, stance, drawing from the holster and more. The second Thursday is practicing the skills with supervision.ladies1

Our lead instructor is Catherine Hoffman, owner of Enbrera Firearms Training LLC. She has been a Clackamas County Sheriff Handgun Coach, graduate of Rangemaster Basic and Advanced Instructor Development, Kathy Jackson’s Cornered Cat Instructor Development, and Mike Seeklander’s Instructor Development Course. Catherine, a former Emergency Department RN is also one of a handful of NRA Certified Training Counselors. She competes locally in pistol and nationally in 3 gun. “ Shooting has not been natural for me. I certainly understand the fear about firearms. Working with women to get past that fear is a personal challenge” states Catherine.

We have a team of dedicated of instructors:
Alan Parks, a Handgun Coach from Clackamas County Sheriff, an Certified NRA Pistol Instructor and multi gun competitor.
Walt Scholl, Certified Glock Armorer and formidable revolver shooter and competes locally.
Neal Tanksley is a specialist with beginning shooters and is close to Grand Master in pistol competitions.
Jim McCausland, a retired mechanical engineer, is a instructor graduate from PSTC Gabe White and Mike Seeklander. In addition to his love of teaching he is an active competitor in IDPS, multi gun, and Practical Rifle.
Colin Drummond, Certified NRA Pistol Instructor and member of the Sherwood Police Department. He makes sure the ladies stay in line! Colin also has extended his skills off range with Simulated Scenarios for conceal carry holders.
